Specific Goals for 2008
Endowment Funding
Children's Help Net must attract endowment funding if we are to have a secure future and have the capacity to maintain our programs over the long term.
Country-Specific Goals
Moldova
- Increase
the level of funding for food, vitamins and medical supplies.
- The
establishment of a Maternal Center that provides
support for young indigent mothers and their newborn children
in an effort to promote family preservation
and prevent infant abandonment and neglect.
- Expand
the fund for children requiring
special medical treatment abroad.
- Fund
a rehabilitation center to provide physical
therapy to disabled children.
- Renovation
of the medical treatment area at the Municipal Orphanage.
- Further
reconstruction and renovation of facilities at
several orphanages.
- Playground
equipment for the Municipal Orphanage.
- Indoor
gymnasium for the Municipal Orphanage.
- Provision
of summer academic programs abroad for promising
Eastern European orphans.
- Collect
funds to pay for propane for the Municipal Orphanage in Chisinau.
- Raise
the funds need for the capital improvement projects listed
on the Projects
We Would Like to Fund
in Moldova page.
- Collect the
funds required (~$35,000) to bring Problem solving for Better
Health® to Moldova.
Romania
- Raise money to feed children in Romania.
- Expand
the fund for children requiring
special medical treatment abroad.
- Corporate sponsorship for and expansion of the Computer Clubs
for Children program and the Computer Resource Center for Medical
Professionals initiative.
- Provision
of summer academic programs abroad for promising Eastern European
orphans.
- Solicit a donation of a minivan for
the safe transport of adoptive families and Andrea
Foundation personnel.
Bulgaria
- Raise money to feed children in Bulgaria.
- Expand
the fund for children requiring special medical treatment abroad.
- Corporate
sponsorship for and expansion of the Computer Clubs for Children
program.
- Corporate
sponsorship for provision of computers
to healthcare professionals.
- Provision
of summer academic programs abroad for promising Eastern European
orphans.
